Henry Lo for Monterey Park City Council 2024

Celebrating 20 Years of Public Service

Thursday, November 30 2023

Join us in celebrating Henry Lo's 20 years of public service as an elected official.  In 2003 Henry was elected to serve on the Garvey Elementary School District Board of  Education.  During his 17 years on the Board of Education, Henry worked to raise the profile of the school district and raise academic achievement.  In 2020, Henry was elected to represent District 4 of the Monterey Park City Council.  During his term, Henry worked with his colleagues and the community to keep the city together during the Covid-19 pandemic. From 2022 to early 2023, Henry was Mayor of the City of Monterey Park.  As Mayor, Henry was the face of the community during the January 21st Mass Shooting in Monterey Park, in what is now known as the worse mass shooting in Los Angeles County. In its aftermath, Henry has been working with his City Council colleagues and the community to forge a path forward to recovery from this tragedy.
