Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable donations or business expenses.  A donor may not contribute more than $9,800 per calendar year to this committee.  Foreign nationals may not contribute at all.  This contribution is made from my own funds on a personal or entity account for which I have legal obligation to pay or authorization to control, and not the funds of another.  If an individual directs and controls one or more businesses, the individual and the business(es) are affiliated and contributions are aggregated or if multiple businesses are directed and controlled by a majority of the same persons, the businesses are affiliated and contributions are aggregated.  I will notify the committee if I’ve “directed and controlled” contributions to the committee from more than one source that must be aggregated.  If my contribution(s) to this committee and to other California state or local committees total(s) $10,000 or more in a calendar year, California law requires me to file disclosure reports as a Major Donor Committee.
